Whether it’s your first tri or your 20th, it’s crucial to train in open water conditions prior to racing. Empire Tri Club is hosting a series of Open Water Swim Clinics at Coney Island this summer! Join us and get all the info and practice you’ll need to feel ready on race day!
This is the closest you will come to race-day conditions before your event! Year after year, our Open Water Swim Clinics are voted the #1 most helpful event we host all year.
What: Lots of helpful open water tips, information, Q&A with coaches, open water swim practice & instruction!
Dates: Sunday June 2, July 14, August 25, September 22
When: 8:00am – 10:00am
Where: Coney Island – West 8th St./Aquarium stop on the F/Q is the closest. Meet on the boardwalk by the Aquarium. There is a big mural on the wall along the boardwalk, just over the walkway from the subway at the Aquarium stop.
Coaches: Clinic will be hosted by the Empire Tri Club Coaches & Ambassadors
Cost: $75 (non-members); FREE (Empire Tri Club Members); late registration week of event (pending availablity) $95
We are operating in accordance with the NYC Parks Department to safely host our Open Water Swim Clinics this season. There may be additional prerequisites in place to ensure the safety of our swimmers and staff. Athletes will be made fully aware of all event safety precautions in place prior to attending the event you are signed up for.
