Empire Tri Club offers a wide variety of open water swim lessons and group clinics to help you prepare for your upcoming triathlon or open water swim event. Swimming in open water is VERY DIFFERENT from swimming in a pool. Laps in your local pool will not adequately prepare you for the heightened stress athletes face on race day. Many athletes neglect to factor in many of the elements they’ll face on race day including race-day adrenaline, mass swim starts, swimming in crowds, not being able to see clearly under water, waves, currents, choppy water, blinding sun, sighting for buoy’s and more. Therefore, it is highly beneficial to incorporate open water swimming into your training regimen to ensure you’re adequately prepared for your event. Whether you’re training for your first sprint or an Ironman, our coaches will give you the skills and confidence you need to master the swim.
