Empire Tri Club Training Program for the NEW Big Apple Triathlon
Train for the NEW Big Apple Triathlon with Empire Tri Club! This program is designed for athletes preparing to race the Big Apple Tri—whether it’s your first triathlon or you’re building on previous experience. Similar in structure to our beginner program, this training plan offers expert coaching, structured workouts, and a supportive team environment to help you arrive at the start line confident and race-ready.
Our experienced coaches and ambassadors bring decades of knowledge and a passion for helping athletes succeed. You’ll train alongside a motivated, like-minded community that pushes each other, celebrates progress, and builds lasting friendships along the way. From your first workout to race day, we’re here to guide, encourage, and coach you every step of the journey.

Workout details are included in Training Peaks. Group workouts last about 1 hour and include a warm up, main set and cool down. Workouts include a lesson, group discussion and structured workout including hills, speed, tempo, drills, hills and benchmark tests. Pace groups are formed and all abilities are welcome. Athletes are encouraged to coordinate meet-ups outside of coach-led sessions using our team app for all posted sessions.
