Empire Tri Club Group Training Schedule

Below is our typical year-round group fitness schedule. See below for current group fitness schedule changes due to COVID19 guidelines.

Current Group Fitness Schedule

Day Workout Start Time Location Description
Monday Virtual Group Ride 5:15pm Zwift Empire Tri Club coach-lead group ride on the cycling app Zwift.
Coaches Corner 6:30pm Zoom Info session lead by Empire Tri Club coaches each week on tri related topics.
Tuesday Strength Training 7am Zoom No-Equipment necessary live group strength workout hosted on Zoom.
Saturday Virtual Group Ride 8am Zwift Empire Tri Club coach-lead group ride on the cycling app Zwift.

Plus monthly guest speakers, in-person coached workouts in NYC limited to 10-athletes (RSVP required), posted workouts, virtual races, team challenges, recipe exchange, book club and more.  Additional in-person workouts and events will be added to the calendar as soon as its safe and recommended to do so!

April – September Group Workout Schedule:

Monday Group Ride 6:45pm 7:00pm Central Park Typically 15-18 miles in Central Park which may include drills, hills and intervals
Tuesday Core + 4 6:45pm 7:00pm Central Park 20 min core workout + ~4 mile group run

Thursday Group Run 6:45pm 7:00pm Central Park Speedwork, Hills, Intervals
Friday
Saturday Group Ride 7:45am 8:00am 72nd &
Riverside Drive
Long Ride (over GWB), Distance Varies
Ambassador Lead Rides take place twice a month.

October Group Workout Schedule:

Tuesday “Hard Core” 6:45pm 7:00pm Central Park An outdoor workout combining cardio & strength training combining body weight exercises, hills, stairs, benches and other elements found in Central Park.
Thursday Group Run 6:45pm 7:00pm Central Park Speedwork, Hills, Intervals

In October we meet outdoors at 6:45pm on the Southwest corner of Central Park at Columbus Circle. Workouts vary each week; details are provided to club members via Training Peaks.  Pace groups are formed; all abilities are welcome.  Bag drop is available at Jackrabbit on the 2nd Floor in the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle. BYO lock.
