Tri Club Fall/Winter Training Schedule

During the months of October-March, Empire Tri Club continues to offer Coach-lead group workouts on Tuesday and Thursday nights.  These are included in our Annual Membership & Winter Membership at no additional cost.  Other programs (such as our small group instructional swim classes and exclusive team discounts at partner facilities) are offered at a discounted price.  Additional 1-day events such as team socials, Beer Mile, Giro di Santa, and End of Season Party are communicated via our team Google Group.

Exact dates and offers vary from season to season. For 2017/2018, this schedule is in effect October 2, 2017 – April 15th, 2018.

Core + 4 is our signature strength workout with an emphasis on core.  Workouts include a variety of body weight exercises including squats, pushups, lunges, abdominal exercises, and plyometrics, to build strength, agility and balance.  After the strength workout we head out for a ~4 mile group run. Group meets every Tuesday through the NYC Marathon (Last session of 2017 will be Oct 24).

Our Thursday night runs typically include speedwork (tempo runs, hill repeats, intervals, etc.)  Pace groups are formed and all abilities are welcome. Every Thursday year-round (excluding last 2 weeks in December).

  • In the event of a workout change or cancellation, athletes will be notified by email via the Empire Tri Club Google Group.
  • Bag drop is available at the NY Running Company (Jackrabbit) in the Time Warner Center.
