Half Marathon Training Program

Starting in January, this 12-week running program will help you build up to a half marathon.  We’ll will provide you with a training plan, community forum, weekly coached group workouts and the opportunity to complete a 13.1 mile race together virtually or in-person this March / April!   The program will include a mix of in-person and virtual activities including a weekly group run in Central Park every Thursday.  Your coaches and teammates will help you stay motivated and accountable to take on big challenges and improve your health and fitness.

Our training program includes:

  • Free TrainingPeaks account where you can access your training plan, log your workouts and track progress
  • A half marathon training plan custom built by one of Empire Tri Club’s coaches (including suggested bike, run, yoga, and cross-training workouts for non-run days)
  • Access to GroupSpot – exclusive team app for athletes and coaches to share training stories and questions, organize virtual and in-person meet ups, etc.
  • Weekly training tips, articles & motivation from Empire Coaches
  • Weekly coach-lead team runs: Thursdays @ 6:30pm at Columbus Circle
  • Opportunity to participate in an in-person or virtual half marathon at the end of the program
  • Virtual finisher badge & bragging rights
