Empire Tri Club is excited to welcome the Verizon New York City Triathlon race director and UCAN nutrition for an exciting race-week event.  Bill Burke, 20 year veteran race director for the NYC Triathlon, will be leading a walk-through/Q&A, along with several Empire Tri Club coaches with over a decade of experience racing, volunteering, guiding and spectating at the race.  At 6:30pm, we will begin our tour starting at the swim start (81st Street & Hudson River).  We’ll discuss race tips and strategies as we walk 1 mile along the river to the  transition area (Riverside Park Soccer Field at 101st Street), and then from transition to Packet Pick-Up area (Riverside Park Baseball fields @ 103rd Street).  We will answer questions about the new course, packet pick up, bike check in, new COVID & finish line protocols, spectator information, weather / safety information, and provide tips to have your best race!   At the end of the event, athletes are welcome to join us at the Ellington In The Park for final Q&A/beers (Riverside Drive & West 105th Street). (Note: if you don’t want to see the swim start and walk that mile, you can meet us at transition).

Whatever your goals or ability level, we are certain you’ll go into your race feeling more prepared and confident after this event!

When: Tuesday 7/6 – Meet at 6:15, Starts at 6:30pm 
Where: Meet at the W 79th Street Boat Basin Cafe in Riverside Park
What: Course orientation, Q&A with the Race Director & Empire Tri Club Coaches, walk-through of the swim course and transition areas, race tips and Pre-Race Party at The Ellington in the Park (Riverside Drive & W 105th St)
Non-Members: $40
Members: FREE!  Just show up
There is no bag drop for this event so plan to carry anything you bring with you!  Casual attire – workout clothes not necessary!  Bring money and ID for the Ellington.  Food / drinks not included.
