Live Streamed Strength Training Class


Improve your strength, mobility and flexibility, while staying connected to teammates and consistent with your schedule.  We all know that it’s very hard to stay motivated when you’re doing things alone.  There’s simply no accountability when there’s no one checking in on you.  Free online programs with unlimited options to join are great, but when there are so many choices, teachers, options and variety, it can be very overwhelming and you may actually find yourself doing less than you would if you were invested and committed to something smaller, predictable and more manageable.

Our weekly class is designed to provide you with some structure and accountability, despite so much instability in our lives right now.  Our Strength Training series emerged at the start of the COVID19 pandemic, when we were forced to cancel many of our in-person group workouts, including our weekly Tuesday night Strength Training session in Central Park.  We quickly adapted our business model to move as much as we could online, to provide our athletes with a continued sense of community, camaraderie and support.  While nothing truly beats in-person instruction and connection, our weekly workouts have become an exciting addition to our club calendar that athletes look forward to each week.  You’ll push yourself through workouts that you would simply never design or do on your own, and see improvements in your fitness after just a few classes.

Empire Tri Club hosts a weekly strength training class via Zoom every Tuesday morning at 7am.

The class typically includes a mix of cardio and strength training, with a focus on mobility, flexibility, strength and raising your heart rate.  These workouts vary weekly and little to no equipment is used.  Some workouts may suggest “optional equipment” (such as a bench or chair, dumbbells, medicine ball, etc.  and alternative suggestions are offered for athletes who do not have these items available – ie. you can use a bag of dog food instead of a medicine ball).  Modifications are always offered for athletes who do not have any available equipment.

Athletes can pay a drop in fee to attend this class or join the club for access to ALL live classes (and recordings of all past classes).  Once you sign up for the class or membership, you will be sent Zoom log in details to attend and a recording of each class you attend.
